Christmas light installation for Orange County and LA County homes.
We design, install, maintain through the season, then remove and store your holiday lighting — a complete service built around warm white C9 bulbs and your home’s specific architecture.
Designed for your home.
Before anything goes up, we plan placement and coverage for your home specifically — your rooflines, your architecture, your entry points — so the finished result looks like it was designed for the house.
That planning carries through to the lighting itself. Our default is warm white C9 bulbs at 15-inch spacing: architectural and restrained. We do not mix bulb temperatures, and we do not fill every available surface just because there is room for another strand. The goal is a display that looks considered, in daylight and at night.
What’s included in every installation.
Christmas light installation with Coastline Lights covers four stages, all included in the price.
Design
Every installation starts before a single light goes up. We look at your home’s rooflines, architecture and entry points, then plan where the lighting goes and how much coverage the property needs — before anyone is on a ladder.
The result is placement that follows your home’s lines — emphasis where it earns it, restraint where a lighter touch looks better.
Installation
Once the design is set, we handle the entire physical installation. You do not need to be on a ladder, running extension cords, or working out where strands connect — that is our work.
Clean strand runs, consistent spacing, and no visible sagging or improvised attachment points — the installation should look intentional up close and from the street.
In-season maintenance
A holiday lighting display runs every night for weeks, through wind, rain and short winter days — it is going to need attention at some point in the season. If a strand goes out, a timer needs resetting, or weather causes a problem, that is handled as part of your installation.
You do not get billed separately to keep your display looking the way it did on the night it went up.
Removal & storage
When the season ends, we come back and take everything down. Removal is part of the price you already paid for the installation, not a separate charge.
We also store your materials between seasons, so there is nothing to find space for in your garage. Each August, we reach out to returning customers to schedule their preferred day and time for the next installation.
Two of these stages have their own guides: what in-season maintenance covers and how takedown and storage work.
Orange County and Los Angeles County.
We install across both counties. Because every installation is planned around the specific property, the fastest way to find out whether we reach your neighborhood is to send us your address.
Bonded and insured — professional coverage in place before anyone sets foot on your property.
What it costs.
Every home gets its own quote — it depends on your rooflines, architecture and the coverage you want. We don’t publish fixed packages or a per-foot rate.
Every quote is built around your specific property, the same way the lighting design is. The most accurate way to get a number for your home is to request a design consultation. Deciding when to book? Our guide to scheduling holiday lighting walks through the timing logic.
Questions homeowners ask.
A few of the things we hear most often. For anything else, visit our full FAQ.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Orange County and Los Angeles County.
What does installation cost?
Every home is different, so every home gets its own quote. Tell us about yours and we’ll take it from there.
Do you handle removal?
Yes. Removal is included in the installation price, not billed separately — and we store your materials between seasons, so there is nothing for you to manage or find space for.
What does the lighting look like?
Warm white C9 bulbs at 15-inch spacing — clean lines, classic glow.
Are you insured?
Yes. Coastline Lights is bonded and insured, with coverage in place before anyone sets foot on your property.
Who does the installation?
Our crew of four installers handles every job, with subcontracted crews brought in for larger properties or overflow demand.
What happens if a bulb goes out or the weather causes a problem partway through the season?
That is covered. In-season maintenance is included at no extra cost, so outages, weather issues and timer problems are ours to handle for the rest of the season.
When should I request installation if this is my first season with you?
Whenever you decide you want lights this year. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you will have with scheduling — crew time in a seasonal business is limited, and dates fill as the season approaches.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
No. We handle the entire install, start to finish — if you are out for the day, the lights are simply up when you get home.
Do you offer anything besides residential Christmas lights?
Yes — we also install bistro and string lighting for patios and outdoor spaces, and we take on commercial lighting work for HOAs, shopping centers, municipal clients and other commercial properties.
Do I have to rebook every year?
No. Most of our customers return each season, and we handle the rescheduling — each August we reach out to arrange your preferred install day and time.
