Coastline Lights
Orange County

Christmas light installation in Newport Beach.

Newport Beach is really eight villages wearing one name — Balboa Island, Corona del Mar and six more — so we plan each roofline for its own village, then handle design, install, maintenance, removal and storage everywhere in between.

Newport Beach, you're the only city we serve where Christmas lights get judged from the water. The Boat Parade started in 1908 as a single gondola strung with lanterns; it now circles the harbor five nights every December, and the Ring of Lights contest has made the bayfront homes the other half of the show. Our Christmas light installation in Newport Beach is designed for exactly that audience — warm white C9 drawn for your roofline and hung to read clean across open water.

Send the address — bayfront, island, or Newport Coast — and we'll design for it.

Tell us about your home and we will put together a lighting design and a quote for it.

Designed to be judged from the water.

Start on the islands. Balboa Island and Lido Isle pack Cape Cod cottages and coastal traditionals onto tight lots where the roofline, the railings, and the dock all share one small stage — lighting them well is an exercise in editing, not adding. Across the bay, Corona del Mar's flower streets run from storybook cottages to modern view boxes, where a straight, level line of C9 is the difference between elegant and busy. Climb into Newport Coast — Pelican Hill, Pelican Crest, Crystal Cove — and the Mediterranean estates go long: deep eaves, barrel tile, courtyard entries, rooflines measured in first downs, not feet. And in the Port Streets and Dover Shores, family traditionals reward the classic treatment done crisply.

Different stages, same discipline. As Christmas light installers on this bay, we treat the water side as a second curb side — every facade gets designed for where it's actually seen from, whether that's the street, the neighbor's second-story deck, or a boat idling past at parade speed. That means measuring the facades that matter, drawing the runs before cutting a single length of wire, and keeping every line level to the eye from a moving deck, because parade week doesn't grade on a curve.

Island logistics, handled quietly.

Newport's charm is logistical. Balboa Island alleys weren't drawn with work trucks in mind, so our crews stage small and keep the lane clear. Lido Isle and Harbor Island run on their own rhythms and their own associations. Newport Coast communities sit behind gates, and we coordinate access in advance with certificates of insurance sent to the HOA before gate staff have to ask — bonded and insured, paperwork first. Bayfront installs get planned around dock access and sensible tide timing, not optimism, and waterside power gets sorted on the design call, not on a ladder.

The calendar here is unforgiving in the best way: Boat Parade week in mid-December is the deadline the whole harbor works backward from. If the Ring of Lights is the show, install season is the rehearsal — the earlier the design is booked, the better December behaves.

From first sketch to our storage racks.

One arrangement — our full residential Christmas light service — covers the season. We design from your address and the facades that matter, install on a scheduled day with custom-cut wire and dusk timers, and keep maintenance on us throughout: a dark stretch of C9 while the harbor is watching gets fixed, not explained. In January everything comes down, gets coiled and tagged, and winters in our racks. The lights live at our place. The look stays at yours.

Questions

Newport Beach, asked and answered.

Can you have our house ready for the Boat Parade and Ring of Lights?

That's the target most bayfront clients set. Parade week lands in mid-December, so we work backward from it — designs confirmed in early fall, installs through November, buffer days before the boats roll. The full timeline is in our guide to when to schedule holiday lighting.

Do you install on Balboa Island and Lido Isle?

Yes. Small lots, shared alleys, and association rules just mean we stage tight, plan the day properly, and leave the lane the way we found it.

Can you light the bay side, not only the street side?

In Newport the water side is the front row. We design harbor-facing facades as their own composition — level from a boat, not only from the sidewalk — and plan waterside circuits before install day.

Which gated communities do you serve in Newport Coast?

Pelican Hill, Pelican Crest, Crystal Cove, and their neighbors. Gate access is coordinated ahead of time, and we provide certificates of insurance to the HOA on request.
