Christmas light installation in Laguna Beach.
Laguna Beach has been an art colony going back to 1918, so the neighbors have opinions about how things look. We design, install, maintain and remove holiday lighting here with that in mind, then store it until next season.
Laguna Beach, you named a cove after Christmas — or your kids did, during the El Niño winters of '82 and '83, when a sandbar surf break kept appearing right around the holidays and the name stuck. That's the kind of town we're hanging lights in. Our Christmas light installation in Laguna Beach starts the way Laguna would want it to: a design drawn for your specific roofline, warm white C9 custom-cut to the house, hung to look right from the sand.
Send us the address — we'll draw the design and price it for that exact roofline.
Tell us about your home and we will put together a lighting design and a quote for it.

Good from the sand. Better from Top of the World.
Laguna doesn't build the same house twice. Down in the village and North Laguna you have 1920s cottages and Craftsman bungalows with short, storybook rooflines, where a single clean line of C9 does all the work. Climb into Mystic Hills, Bluebird Canyon, or Arch Beach Heights and the homes start stepping down the hillside — staggered rooflines, multiple returns, decks stacked over decks — where lighting one plane and ignoring the rest looks like giving up halfway. And along the coves, from Emerald Bay and Irvine Cove down through Lagunita and Three Arch Bay, bluff villas run long horizontal rooflines that read from a quarter mile of coastline.
Each of those is a different lighting problem, which is why we don't quote Laguna homes off a satellite photo. Some Christmas light installers price by the linear foot and hope for the best; we design off the actual facade — which lines to light, which to leave dark, where a run should turn and where it should stop — then cut the wire to those measurements. On a stepped hillside contemporary, the restraint is the design. On a gabled cottage in Woods Cove, it's the crisp outline. Either way, the bulbs are commercial-grade warm white C9 with fittings chosen for salt air, because pretty in November and corroded by January isn't a look.
A town with a Design Review Board will notice your lights.
This is a city that reviews architecture the way other towns review restaurants, and the neighbors have opinions about how things look. We mean that as a compliment — it's why our Laguna installs stay restrained: warm white, clean lines, nothing inflatable. It's also why we handle the unglamorous parts properly. Gated communities like Emerald Bay and Three Arch Bay get vendor access coordinated in advance, with certificates of insurance sent to the HOA before anyone has to ask twice. Hillside streets get small crews and tight staging so canyon roads stay open. And if the house sits down a long bluff stairway — we know how Thousand Steps earned its name — we carry the ladders.
Timing matters here too. Winter Fantasy opens at the Sawdust grounds in late November, and most Laguna homes want their lights up before it does. The earlier the design call, the better your pick of install dates.
Up in a day. Ours again in January.
The residential service runs the whole season. We design from your address and a facade review, install on a scheduled day with custom-cut wire and timers set for dusk, and if a bulb goes dark in mid-December, that's our problem to fix — in-season maintenance is part of the deal. Come January we take it all down, coil it, label it by facade, and store it at our place until next fall. Your garage keeps its shelf space, and next year's install starts from this year's map.
Laguna Beach questions, answered.
When should I book Christmas light installation in Laguna Beach?
Design consultations start in early fall, and install dates book from the front of the calendar. If you want lights up before Winter Fantasy opens, reach out by October and you'll have your pick of dates. Later can work too — we'll be straight with you about what's open. More on timing in our guide to when to schedule holiday lighting.
Do you install inside Emerald Bay, Three Arch Bay, and Irvine Cove?
Yes. We coordinate gate access with your community in advance and provide certificates of insurance to the HOA on request — we're bonded and insured, and gate staff appreciate paperwork that arrives before we do.
Will salt air ruin the lights?
It tries. Coastal exposure is real in Laguna, which is why we install commercial-grade bulbs and fittings, never box-store strings — and why maintenance is included. If the marine layer wins a round, we come fix it. Details in what in-season maintenance covers.
My house faces the ocean, not the street. Can you light what people actually see?
That's most of Laguna. We design for the view that matters — from the sand below, across the canyon, from the stairs — not only from the curb. If the best view of your roofline is from the beach, that's the angle we design to.
For everything else, the sitewide FAQ applies in Laguna Beach the same as anywhere in our service area — or call 949-806-2333.
We handle holiday lighting up and down this stretch of coast too — Newport Beach, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, and San Clemente.
This is a town that turns people into paintings every summer. Your roofline can hold its own in December — send the address and we'll draw the design.
